I love this campground! My Grandparents have a permanent there and we visit it all the time! The lake is super fun and the pool is very relaxing on a hot day!

We booked a site back in April for the 4th of July holiday weekend. We arrived about an hour early which we knew check in was 2pm. They allowed us to check in which we were super thankful for as we needed to get set up and leave for prior arrangements in town. We were escorted to our site to find out that the previous camper from the week still had their fifth wheel camper in our site(check out is 11am). The campers were nowhere to be found. The office attempted to call and email them with negative results. The staff quickly gave us a makeshift site which was previously an old seasonal site. They brought us a fire pit and stocked us up with firewood for the weekend. Later that evening, The campers arrived back from fishing all day thinking that they booked to check out on Saturday which was not the case. Even though we did not get our booked site(not trying to pack up, move and unpack again) we made the best of it. Joe and all of the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy all weekend. This was our third time camping here and we will always continue to come back when we are in town. Our kids enjoy all the amenities and planned activities. The bathrooms are clean and there's always hot water. Thank you Lakeside Fire Campground for providing us with the most amazing family memories. Happy for your family on the progress of the campground. ❣️🔥🏕️🍻

I'm not the biggest fan of camping, BUT OH MY GOSH. This is literally ❤️🔥the best campground ever❤️🔥. I've met so many life-long friends here, and the staff is amazing. I love the pond and pool. The sunset over at the lakeside is breathtaking✨️, perfect for pictures. Another thing I want to address is the fact that some "karens" be writing reviews about people telling them to slow down. I mean it's 5 mph, not that hard! The only time I see people get slowed down is when they're zooming down the road, THERES KIDS AROUND HERE Y'KNOW! Also another really funny thing is when people talk about the lake being gross, I mean we're you really surprised, 😂 there's a reason there's a pool and a pond to swim in. The lake is for fishing and kayaking (or canoeing I'm not sure the difference)! And tbh the sunset at the lake is so worth it, completely recommend. So yeah, as I come to an end, I actually really do recommend staying at lakeside fire campground! 🙂 You'll definitely meet some friendly neighbors and it's pretty quiet too for the introverts. Far from a trailer park, but definitely not a 5 star resort, so don't be a karen. PS: <honestly no offense to those people actually named Karen. (The Karen I know is pretty nice.)>

Don’t become a seasonal camper here. If you question anything (such as a camper complaining about what your son did, then you ask who it was so your son can go and apologize for riding their bike too close to the golf cart) you’ll get a mark against you. Not to mention you’ll also be told your son has to now ride with a flag on his bike so people can see him, then explain why he has to when none of his friends do. If you then tell seasonal campers on their Facebook page (seasonal Facebook page) to include the words “pending review and acceptance of next years contract” when referring to the owners wanting people to put in writing that they’ll commit to next years season, prior to seeing next years contract… you’ll get another mark, and kicked out. They made some good improvements and cleaned up the roads. Stay on top of getting your portable tank pumped, they often didn’t pump it when you signed up, we had to inform them a couple times that they had missed us. But the issues we had were indicators of their management style. I don’t recommend anyone go here, and do not recommend becoming a seasonal either. Btw, this was at the end of last season, I took my time to formulate my review over the past few months as the mind blowing management style had me fuming. The above issues were discussed via email as the owners wouldn’t answer phone calls or text to try and meet in person. At most a somewhat decent weekend getaway. An invalid response to my review. I was very happy, we liked it there, we were confused why management couldn't actually come talk to us about issues, but rather hide through email.

There are trails in the area - the road kitty corner to our office is a trail and leads to a network of other trails. We allow ATV/UTVs on the campground to and from your site but they can not be used for movement around/through the campground.
