First off: Directions on how to get there. Marron Valley Road is the only road you turn in to get there, all the other routes on the GPS leads you through private property in which you CANNOT pass through! As for the range itself: Tidy and clean, multiple ranges. Professional, vigilant instructors that aren’t overbearing.

The range officers are great and the range is all around fantastic! But if you plan to purchase a membership please be aware that the military takes over most if not all of the pistol ranges on most weekdays. It really is best to call ahead because I cannot tell you how irritating it is to drive an hour out there to be told that you're only allowed to shoot your pistol in the rifle range (unless you want to stand under the sun and split one lane with other people in the shotgun section, IF a range officer is available for that). My advice: always call ahead.

My Favorite San Diego gun range. they have several ranges from 50yd pistol and black powder ranges to trap/clay shotgun range to 300 yd competition range.

I finally had a chance to get out and fire my Glock 17. I've been off roading in this area for the last 8 years and this is my first time coming to Southbay rod and gun club. Really impressed with the staff and facilities. Range Officers were very easy to talk to and I found out they have a junior rifle club that my daughter's can check out.

Yes, any magazines you legally own are fine.
No children under 7 allowed.
Black powder firearms are welcome.
Club has no restrictions on magazine capacity. Current CA law allows people to use any magazines they purchased legally.
PCP airguns are welcome.
You can renew your membership the next time you go to the range. Guests are always welcome, but they will have to register as a day use shooter or purchase their own membership. Thanks

I wouldn't suggest it. There is a good section of unpaved road leading up to the club (about 2 miles). It is pretty bumpy, rocky, and dusty.
Yes we have a trap range (no skeet). We allow .50 caliber and smaller to be shot. No incendiary or armor-piercing rounds allowed.
