Very nice zoo. The animals appear well cared for. Lots of places for children to play. Decent options for lunch or a snack. Some nice touches, like the Llama trail, where you can walk around with the animals. My favorite was probably the Tropics trail with a number of beautiful birds. Can't wait to go back later in July when the tiger cubs are old enough for their debut!

The Minnesota Zoo is a great place to spend a summer day with the kids. It's not so big that you feel overwhelmed but has many great animal exhibits. My kids really enjoy the penguins, lama treck (where they can feed and walk lamas on a lead), camel rides, and the two very large playgrounds. Many parts of the trail are shaded, which is great for hot days.

Such an awesome zoo. It's obvious that the animals are well taken care of. It would be nicer if there were more maps along the way (we got pretty lost) or even an app with the map. But still a fun time. The tropical exhibit is AMAZING! The primate house is a little underwhelming. It's really awesome that they have an exhibit dedicated to Minnesota plants and animals. Definitely a great place to learn!

The Minnesota Zoo is a wonderful place to visit, whether or not you're into animals. A vast collection of animals from all over the world keeps every trip interesting. The Tropics Trail and Grizzly Coast both immerse you in a different world than what we are used to, in opposite climates. There's plenty to learn and lots to do. Also a great place for little ones! Just make sure they know how to respect the animals.👍

What ever happned to the dolphin exhibit and will it ever come back?

Solveig Bingham21 | Aug 18, 2018
sam awsome | Aug 19, 2018

No they wont be back. After they moved the dolphins bonded with the other dolphins. They can't get more because dolphins can't be taken from the wild anymore so the only way to get more dolphins is for them to be born in captivity. That doesn't happen often so chances are slim they'd ever get them again.
