I have been to this venue numerous times for dinner. The menu is varied with many wonderful appetizers, salads and soups. The entree's whether its steak, seafood or poultry is always very pleasing to that palate and presentation is appetizing. The wine list may be a bit limited but the wines that they do serve are very good. I love their lavender martinis as a signature drink! As to some of the negative comments on service, every restaurant has an off night. I have been 5 times over the last 1.5 yrs and the service has always been attentive without being over bearing. To me the service is more of a european style where the waiter/waitress is not hovering over you every moment. Whenever we needed something I would just nod to the server and they would come and see what we needed. The ambiance is quiet and classy and represents a place where I do not have to deal with a noisy background and conversations can be maintained at a normal speaking volume. There can always be room for improvement but given the range of reviews mine is on the high side for a very unique Inland Empire experience. As for a one star review because of a martini served in a plastic cup? That review renders glowing comments on the food, service and ambience but the patron was annoyed because they served his martini in a plastic cup. My response to that review is that has never happened to me.

Really wonderful experience here this evening! Service was great. We at times didn't seem to actually have a waitress, however water glasses were never more than half full and we were perfectly attended to by the whole staff who seemed to work together flawlessly. Not to mention how knowledgeable they were about the menus and their food sources. The food was some of the best I've ever had. Flavors of the dishes were well thought out and surprising, like little bits of cranberries on scallops. Wonderful but not over the top. Now my ribeye was cooked perfectly and had a buttery wonderfulness of texture a and taste that just melted in your mouth. We tried three desserts one of them the tapas plate. Once again, delicious. Unique flavors such as lemon thyme sorbet. The atmosphere may be off putting to some, we very much felt at home. It looks a bit barvarian and a lot old school richness. Loved it. Really can't think of a single thing I would have changed. We will definitely be back now that we have found this amazing gem! Complements to the chef!

We went for the New Year's Buffet. Horrible! Grand Oaks does not know how to serve a buffet. Most dishes were not labeled. I had to ask what kind of salad dressings were on the table. The table clothes were white and everything was very sterile. No New Year's decorations to be found. My husband took what he thought were lox and for a man who loves everything, he had to practically spit it out as it was "some kind of processed something". When I asked for water, I was told I would have to get my own from the drink station. Then I saw several other waiters taking drinks to tables. The food was cold and had no taste. I know the Grand Oaks has good dinners and we love the Wednesday night burger special. Grand Oaks needs to stick with what they know and forget about serving holiday buffets!!
