I had a mild heart attack just days before my 80th birthday. Samaritans emergency service was excellent. Follow-on not so good. The cardiac unit was very noisy making sleep for more than minutes virtually impossible. Since being discharged, I have not been contacted or been able to contact any one in the cardiac unit. Numerous attempts to reach the unit by phone went unanswered with no option to leave a call back number. So there has bee no follow-on treatment. My recommendation is to have your heart attack some where else.

Fantastic hospital, the patient comes first in all aspects of health management.

Terrible customer service, front desk staff was rude and nurse was rude and lack of bed side manner. Made me feel bad for wanting information about my child.

I would have given a 1 star review, but the doctors and nursing staff were pretty great...thanks nurses! Unlike our Good Samaritan RMC, the majority of modern hospitals have private rooms. I can think of many reasons just off the top of my head: ++Privacy. Basic human dignity and confidentiality regarding their health issues. ++Safety. At all times, but especially in a time of global pandemic patients should not be packed in like sardines with only a curtain separating them. The rooms are also extremely cramped and it’s often difficult to navigate to the bathroom due to obstacles like trash cans, chairs, laundry carts, etc. Even nurses and other staff trip over stuff. Visitors are pinned into tight corners and find themselves in the way every time the patient gets their vital signs checked. Visitors are also constantly hearing all about the private medical info of their loved one’s roommate. ++Rest. Sleep is very important in the healing process. And sleep is very hard to achieve with a roommate six feet away. Their TV, phone, lights, and snoring (not to mention their need for attention from nursing staff) often make sleep completely impossible. Also, the food available to visitors is expensive and of poor quality. Please, please GSRMC catch up with the 21st century and convert to private rooms!

A service animal is permitted in the hospital. I've seen lots of pets around the hospital, but don't know whether they're service animals or not.
