Very basic accommodations: clean and reasonably comfortable, but definitely not luxurious. Hardly any breakfast to speak of: just coffee, juice, and some packaged sweets.

When I was looking for a place to stop between Omaha and KC there are many options, but this is the highest rated, so I decided to give it a shot. The owners, Hank and Mary are super nice, the rooms are large, comfortable, and clean. We slept soundly. Breakfast was donuts, fruit, and coffee. I would normally say, good stay for the price, but it's much better than that. You won't be disappointed.

We didn't want to drive through the night on our trip to Rapid City, so we decided to get a room for the night. We knew we'd be arriving late, and although the front desk typically closes at 11pm, they said they'd accommodate us at 11:30. We tried to narrow our stops and made it there right at 11pm. This place is American-owned and operated by a great couple, too! Super friendly, and funny, with tons of great stories! The room was nice and clean. The water pressure in the shower was nice and strong, which I rarely find in any hotel, motel, or cabin. I wish we could've stayed a bit longer, but we had to get going due to the long drive ahead of us. If you're looking for a nice clean place to lay your head, this is it. These folks take a lot of pride in their motel and in taking care of their guests. Definitely worth a stop and stay!

I wish there was a way to give 4.5 Stars. Service is straightforward and friendly. They are very attentive to guests. The rooms were clean, adequately spacious, and quiet. We had a Westward facing window and we saw a little Wildlife at the Lakes across the Interstate. Gazebos in the rear of the property were inviting. With the multiple security cameras visible at the front desk, we felt very safe. Plenty of parking. Close to the interstate and most importantly, handy to the Loess Hills National Wildlife Refuge. Tea and hot water are accessible at all times. A room refrigerator was available; no microwave in our room but I think the lobby had one . Hand sanitizer available in the lobby. There is a little common reading area, which came in handy when my companion couldn't sleep. There is a safety detail that I was just a little concerned about. There is a step up to the lobby entrance maybe 4 to 6 in. I was able to accommodate for it. A "watch your step" sign might be helpful as somebody I was staying with did forget about the step down when exiting the lobby. Fortunately they were able to catch themselves. A guest with neuropathy or mobility impairment would be at higher risk of injury. A few details that were not a big deal to me but could be to some guests are the following: the shower has a curious low ceiling. If you are much past 5'10" or so you might have to stoop to use it. There are three chairs in the room. An upholstered chair and two straight back chairs (some stains visible). The bathroom is tiny with the sink outside of the room. All in all, I would not hesitate to stay again.
