We frequent this restaurant often and always have had a great experience! Service is always great and the meals are outstanding. This past visit we had the Spicy Shrimp dinner special with lobster cheddar mashed potatoes and was probably the best shrimp dinner I have ever had. Service was awesome with very friendly and courteous staff and bartender

We arrived about 11:45 a.m. and there were maybe two other people there. Their spring hours say they open at 11:30 a.m. There is a choice of sitting at a table, the bar or outside. We chose the bar because there was enough room to eat, where some bars have had smaller areas, this one was comfortable enough to eat at. I ordered an Irish cream and coffee with whipped cream. My appetizer was fried calamari and banana peppers, My meal was the lobster roll with fries. I was very happy with it all. My friend ordered the Rhode Island clam chowder and really liked it. I was happy with the pricing and the service. This may be a stop in my future, only saying that because there are so many options out there and I want to continue to try new places.

When I was a little kid, I remember going to the old Westbrook Lobster when it was a fish market by the singing bridge. It was in a rickety old building that shook in the wind. There were old lobster claws on the wall that were as big as a catcher's mitt. I used to love peeking into the lobster tanks, always hoping to see a giant lobster like that. Well, that was like fifty years ago and its not like that anymore. These days Westbrook Lobster is a casual shoreline seafood restaurant. Their lobster rolls have always been the standard against which I judge other lobster rolls anywhere I go in New England. These are usually the best. I love that they offer Rhode Island clam chowder, which is a clear broth that offers the most clean clam flavor in my opinion. They have the creamy New England style too if you must have that, but as a shoreline native, I have to recommend you try the Rhode Island style. My partner loves the lobster grilled cheese sandwich. I find it too rich, but she gets it every time. Stick to the basics. Lobster rolls, clam chowder, lobster bisque, clam strips. That kind of traditional shoreline seafood is what they do best.

Everything was delicious and brought out in a timely manner everything that was supposed to be hot was hot and so good, the wings were fist and very delicious, next was the new England clam chowder which had a lot of clams and was very hot so very tasty then our main course I had the fried cod, clam strips and scallops which had a very nice light batter on them everything was cooked perfectly, my girlfriend had the warm lobster roll which was cooked to perfection and was totally loaded with beautiful lobster, her son had the spare rib Mac and cheese which was out of this world best I have had we all tried a bite, then there was the burger cooked perfectly to order and the fries stayed crispy even after an HR ride home cause we did not finish them all. I would have to say everything was perfect for both of there birthdays. The wait staff was very nice and always there if we needed anything. I love this restaurant.

I go to WL often, I don't recall seeing fried lobster on the menu.
Yes it is handicapped accessible. I've brought my 94 year old grandmother there.
Yes!
No. 2 seafood places on the same street do. Kenny & Joe's Fish Tales, and Bill's Seafood, just over the Old Saybrook line, both have outdoor seating. Both EXCELLENT restaurants.
They mostly serve seafood..why would you eat Turkey there?
