I had written a review disgruntled about excessive delivery times, but I've decided, since I can't redact it, to leave a better review. Kathmandu's food is in fact very good... if you're ordering delivery, expect a wait. I recommend sampling an array of their expansive menu.

As a former UConn student, Kathmandu kitchen has always been my favorite out of all the places in Storrs center! All the spices are there and their goat curry is mouth watering. Not sure what the other negative reviews were about because I didn’t really have that long of a wait or unpleasant experience during the times I’ve gone. Thought the staff was nice and place was very well decorated and clean.

Waited for over an hour to get our food made and out of the kitchen. Then to only get food that was okay, the curry I ordered to be spicy wasn’t that spicy and bit watery. Quite an experience, maybe I’ll come back after they hire more staff to meet the supply and demand.

I like South Asian cuisine, so I've visited Kathmandu Kitchen about 5 times in the last year. The food is okay -- I felt that the freshness of the ingredients was really hit-or-miss, which is unfortunate because this place is one of the more expensive restaurants in Storrs. The worst part of my many experiences here is the hygiene. The glasses and dinnerware are typically laid out on the tables prior to customers being seated. On 2 occasions, I found that the drinking glasses were not well washed, and I could see the outline of someone's lips around the rims. I switched the glass out, only to find out that the second one was also smudged with lips :/ The forks and knives also typically have residual foods on them, so searching other empty tables to find a clean one is a chore - one that should not fall on the customer. Summary: food tastes fairly good, but the hygiene and freshness of ingredients are consistently questionable. I would not recommend.
