Colby was very knowledgeable and patient with us as we sampled wine and made our purchase. We had a great time and will absolutely return again.

I am not related but wish I were. This place is outstanding. Mary helped select the wines to our individual likings and knew the history, having worked there for 23 years. They also had a bourbon and vodka bar and Mary was just as knowledgeable about her Bourbons as their wines. GO

We were traveling back from Holiday Valley and decided to stop for some wine tastings on the way back to Ohio. Johnson Estate has excellent wine and service. Mary was excellent, she was extremely knowledgeable on the wine with a great sense of humor. She was eager to connect with each of us and made sure our tasting was memorable. We bought more than a couple bottles on the on the way out to enjoy. The dry Riesling was one of best I’ve had. I will be coming back in the Fall for the Great Grape Walk!

Friendly, warm staff. Educational without being sales-y. They welcomed questions and told stories of the background of the winery. They are the oldest estate in the state, which means they do the soup to nuts process on site : growing cultivating bottling shipping etc. Must stop!

Dear J Del, We do not make a chianti wine - and do not grow those grapes. That said, we do make a number of dry red wines which you might like instead, including a Cabernet Sauvignon (I know, its not Sangiovese, but....) and an aged Vintner's Cabernet Sauvignon
Alas, not really. We have a gourmet section in the winery and you could purchase items perfect appetizers and for a cheese board. We sometimes have small food pairing items on the menu and are exploring a Sunday Only, Sip & Savor at the Table where we will pair four samples of wines with four small samples of food. What do you think?
No, but something similar, house red, or proprietors house red is a blend 5.5 rs, and proprietors is a blend rs 3.0
Alas, no we do not have the necessary licenses to ship our wine abroad. We apologize for the tardy response! Maybe send some wines with others going to visit him in Japan?
We sell a very popular late-harvest Delaware wine which we call "Liebestrpfchen" or "little love drops". Could that be the one you are thinking of?
I dont believe so
