The staff was super nice and the breakfast was outstanding every single morning! The grounds are beautiful and there are so many areas that would be greatly enhanced by adirondack chairs or lounge chairs so guests can enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We stayed in the Winterberry room and it was nice, especially the deck which was large. It could use a little sprucing up and maybe some better furniture outside to enjoy the views. Our room is described as having a view of the Hudson River but there was a tent up near the river and it obstructed out view, oh well. Every room should have a corkscrew (ours did not) and there were none to be found in the Inn. I had to go to the restaurant to have a bottle of wine opened but it's on the property so that was easy enough. Speaking of the restaurant, we ate dinner at Henry's twice and the food is delicious with great staff! While the main spa and pool area is closed we did go to the alternate spa for massages, which were really terrific. My wife had booked two for herself before we got there and I opted to see how the first one went before booking a second. That was a mistake because the massages are good and it shows in how booked up they get. My advice, book all you spa treatments in advance, you'll be glad you did.

Property = gorgeous Food = delicious Cocktails = thoughtfully comprised Staff = hospitable and friendly So ya. That about sums it up. Great, great, great location with not much left in regards to "voids". The room (Captain's room) was cozy and was perfect for what we needed it for, literally a place to sleep. I think they could have at least upgraded the TV's but totally understand why it's not a priority. Although, if the weather hadn't had held up... I'm thinking a larger TV could have come in handy. Excellent spot to spend a night and get some down time with your significant other.

The ambience of the spa was nice, nothing too special or over the top… Just a nice ambience. I scheduled a deep tissue massage several weeks ago. The massage Heidi gave me was pleasant, but I was very disappointed, as this was definitely not a “deep tissue “massage. I also felt everything was very rushed. The massage Itself had very fast movements, just something I am not used to, especially with deep tissue. Since the massage time was cut by 10 minutes due to sanitizing they said, I asked not to massage my legs or feet and to focus mainly on my neck shoulders and lower back. I was told they do a full body massage and they could not do a focus massage. Again I have never experienced this anywhere else I’ve ever gone, the therapist usually asks where you want them to focus. This visit was due to a gift certificate given to me, I will use the rest of the certificate in a different area of the spa, just not for another massage.

I was here in January. Beautiful grounds and a very nice room. It was an extremely restful and peaceful few days. The best part was the food at the restaurant - some of the best food I've ever had and the drinks were great too. Included breakfast was yummy and made to order and daily tea-time was a cute touch also. I also got a massage which was out of this world. Thank you.

Some, but not many. But there is a bar and you can eat there so it totally works for one!
