Very nice country setting chain restaurant store located within a mile from the Route 9 Fishkill, NY Exit off of Interstate 84. Establishment is clean, staff was friendly, and food was very good. I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken Family Meal Box to go. Meal comes with 2 sides, buttermilk biscuits various chosen condiments and utensils. My only complaint/suggestion for the company is to update their online order capabilities. I wanted to order online and utilize curb side pick-up at the store. I tried to place my order online by using a Cracker Barrel Gift Card. There is no option to place your order online unless you prepay with the use of a credit card. I actually called their Headquarters in Tennessee because I thought I was doing something wrong. They confirmed that you cannot purchase anything online with their gift card. I feel if the company sells their own gift cards you should be able to use them for online purchases.

So we love going to Cracker Barrel and have eaten at many in several states. The Fishkill NY store is the one we frequent most. Always clean and friendly. This time while the service was great the food was less than enjoyable. I ordered French toast and it was hard as a rock and my plate had a chunk missing from it. I didn't complain and proceeded to eat my husband's chicken fried chicken since he had plenty. We will still go to Cracker Barrel but I won't order the French toast again.

With so many restaurants having failed due to the pandemic, restrictions and now the economy. You need to support Cracker Barrel for soldiering on with very good quality food, service and reasonable prices.

This place never disappoints. The food is always excellent. We love the number of choices on the menu. My favorite thing, though, will always be the corn muffins.
