I enjoy working as a realtor, helping families actually materialize their home ownership needs.

It’s strange when as a Realtor I see a staff member of SAR filling in the ratings.

Friendly front desk receptionist is great. You won't get many questions answered when calling, better to ask your broker. Pricing to agents is extremely high and repetitive snd seems like overkill with continuous exaggerated costs quarterly.

Questions & Answers

What has Spokane real estate increased or decreased per year from 2012 to 2018?

Spokanes change in average (mean) sales price year to year as follows: 5.9% in 2012, 3% in 2013, 2% in 2014, 6.1% in 2015, 7.4% in 2016, and we had a jump of 7.8% last year. Of course this varies somewhat per neighborhood.

Once someone passes the Real Estate Broker Examination for WA State, what should be the next steps (priority) in the process to become an active Realtor in Spokane County? Thank you. PB

After that you can go interview some brokerages that have good tools for new agents or you can decide to go with a team. Once you join they will activate your license. I personally chose Coldwell Banker Tomlinson for their resources for new agents!

When you hire a property management company to rent out your property, what are their duties to you in regards to preparing the home for rent? I ask because my PM company for a paint quote a week ago and still nothing. It won't rent.

It depends on your contract with the company. If they are in agreement to rehabilitate or maintain certain standards, but you are to pay promptly for those services, that is one model. But some models spell out that the property owner is completely responsible for that. This is usually when the owner resides in the same area as the property.
