So I was on the hunt for a few dressage lessons possibly thinking about changing facilities. I email North jersey equestrian center since I called and no one picked up. I got a timely response and was given a phone number to call and if no one picked up I was told to leave a voicemail. I left a voicemail and no one has called me back and it’s been over a week. I’m guess they don’t need my business.

I rode here for 4 years; the lesson horses and the trainers while I was there were above average, however the boarding situation is cruel. It is incredibly selfish to board your horse here and I encourage you to re-examine your horsemanship if you have chosen to. Imagine keeping your dog in a crate for 21 hours a day. That is what the horses here experience. When they are turned out, the paddocks are solitary and so small that the horse can not even get a single canter stride in. I encourage you to research why turnout is important for horses. I feel incredible shame and guilt for supporting this barn knowing that the horses living there can never be happy. Yes, the facilities are amazing for the HUMAN, but for the horse it is so so unfair.

We've been taking our granddaughter (6) for riding lessons for the past several months. She has a ball. The Center seems clean and horses well cared for. The customer service is spotty at times: unattended desk, credit cards not taken...other than that we are very pleased and so is the 6 year old. But we do wish they accepted credit cards.
