I'm from nyc and was in the area visiting. My sister recommended this place so I went. The guy and the hair stylists were all very friendly/welcoming. The girl that washed my hair, not so much. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and say it was because she didn't speak/understand English. I love the steam deep conditioner. My hair is so nice and soft right now. I like how the girl blow dried my hair. The only thing is, it's not as straight as I like my hair to be. So yea, I still gave 5 stars because maybe I could of asked her to blow it a little more. Price was good also.

I called in advance to ask if they would have have time to cut my hair and they said yes they only do walk ins on a Sunday. The girl over the phone told me to come soon since they closed at 3pm. I rushed there at 1:15pm and I was excited to come to this salon based on reviews. When I got there i saw a room full of women waiting to get their hair done. The owner told me they would have me attended soon. So I waited not knowing they were just going to have me sit there until 3pm still having plenty of women to get finished before me. I would have highly appreciated if they told me over the phone that the salon was crowded and that they would have me wait hours until I was even thought of. What made me also very aggravated is that they only have 4 women on staff including the owner and instead of the owner helping with the flow of clients she just sat around lounging with her phone. The three other women were working and always on the move while the owner just sat around and would occasionally tell me I just have to wait a little bit more when I can clearly see there are 8 in front of me. This place does not have any consideration for your time. I walked out after waiting for so long to go to another salon.

Love love love it! I'm originally from Brick City but moved out of state. Every time we go back I get my hair done, the right way, like only Newark hair dressers can. This salon was/is my favorite! Completely and totally happy and satisfied. Good work! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
