Great little visitor center. The rangers were very helpful, the bathrooms were clean, and the gift shop had lots of fun stuff. Wonderful place to begin a trip through the forest.

Great place go visit. Road was a little wet and slick, you have to be careful to drive. A low car is not the best but ok. Recommend if it's not dry and really wet to have an awd or 4x4. Worth the visit for amazing trees and views and the road less traveled.

Worth it. Great trails even ones for the disabled. Well informed and helpful staff. Oh, don't miss the trees. Found a real (not working of course) phone booth and a new friend

Definitely worth the visit prior to heading out to see the redwoods and other sites in the area. Info on finding some of those sites in the woods needs some work.

Yes, it's beautiful, and goes along the Smith river, which is Crystal clear. You're free to take a dip, and enjoy yourself. Plenty of giant Redwoods along the way, so you're in the shade while you walk and enjoy the silence.
