Budget Car Rental

I dont normally write reviews, good or bad but felt the need after showing up today to pick up my rental car to find out that since I was an hour past my stated pick up time, they had NO rental car for me. I travel a lot for work and can honestly say this has never happened. Furthermore, the employee I spoke with pointed to a sign on the door as justification for revoking my reservation. There was no communication from this location to let me know that I had to be within an hour of my stated pick up time or a courtesy phone call when that hour was nearly up to ask if I still needed my car. I was left completely stranded without the possibility of renting a car anywhere in the city even though nearly a month before I had conducted proper planning and reserved a car so I could get to the airport. I will never use this location again and will do everything I can to avoid using Budget in the future.

Horrible experience won't go back only highlight was the employee at the counter explaining things nicely and being understanding that the website that we went through and the budget were not clear on their rental qualifications. Only thing I can say is if you would rather use a debit card then I credit card this is the wrong place to go.

Micha and the crew are amazing I have done business here for years and years. I highly recommend them. I just rented a Ford and it was loaded and I was very happy with the car. They always take good care of me.

Well I prepaid for a suburban at this location over a month in advance. I showed up and they had a Tahoe size (zero trunk room) vehicle. The lady had told me it sat there 2 weeks and they didn't realize it was the wrong one. Not to mention we found shoes, nicotine lozenges, pretzel sticks and bottle caps in it. I was told I needed to find the vehicle I pre-ordered at another location. Her hands were tied with her 1980's computer system she said. So we tried other locations nearby with no luck. We pack up the vehicle and head to Florida. On the Kentucky turnpike we have a blowout on one of the tires. So my husband changed that on the side of the highway in 40 degree weather. We stayed in Nashville that night to drive the rest of the way to Florida the next day. As we were getting back into the vehicle in Nashville my husband noticed that the other 3 tires had chunks missing out of them. We tried airports in Nashville and on the route down with only luck in Orlando (our destination) to get the rental car we reserved. As we got to Orlando they were helpful at budget and told us that the Lafayette, IN budget should've never rented us that car. It was unsafe and they were sending it to the shop. I returned my rental today back in Lafayette and told her about my concerns. She said I was basically talking to a McDonald's cashier, nothing she could do. She never took responsibility for the non cleanliness, the fact that that vehicle sat there 2 weeks for me and it was the wrong one. Nothing. I used to have great luck at this location. I recommended them all the time. I'm very disappointed and hope they read these reviews too better the program they have there. Definite changes need to be made if they want happy customers.
