I went here on a fieldtrip with my school. When it was time to eat I thought the food was gonna be gross. But actually the food was really good! Every meal we got I completely finished or at least tried to cause it was so good. I don't usually like lasagna, but the lasagna we had in the dinning hall was amazing. In the morning for lunch we had delicious turkey sandwiches (or at least I did). The cabins were very nice. The bunk beds were comfortable and the rooms were very spacious and organized. And the hikes were so cool, with great views. It was my first time camping and I definitely had so much fun. I went home early. But I’d love to come here again. (By the way, the staff was very kind and helpful).

Make sure to pack your own sleeping bag, they don't provide linen. The staff were very kind and easy to talk to. The rooms and showers were pretty standard. Their Hall is huge and can comfortably fit a 100 people. The WiFi was really spotty and we had a difficult time using it the few times we needed it. No WiFi in the sleeping quarters. Absolutely no cellphone reception on the campsite. Make sure to download that local map on Google Maps before arriving incase you get lost like we did.

I'm on the kitchen staff at Monte Toyon, I love working with all of the people here! It's a wonderful place, and the scenery is amazing! Standing under the redwood tree's makes you feel extremely small!
