Disappointing Chinese food. Had hoped for more in the Bay Area. Maybe I should have tried something in San Francisco itself. Had the Mongolian beef which was almost tasteless and the spicy tofu - what a joke - spicy??? It was pretty much as tasteless as the Mongolian beef. I had to ask for chili paste to spice it up. Best part of the meal was probably the white rice. Would not return here. The photo may make it look good, but don't be fooled.

Yan's was a franchise owned by Chef Martin Yan who you have no doubt seen countless times on PBS with his shiw Yan Can Cook. Try one of his SF restaurants. Yan's China Bistro in Walnut Creek is not affiliated with Chef Martin Yan.
