One of the best local courses you can play. Very friendly people who make a difference when you book a round and when you check in. Pro shop guys and starters make you feel at home. Course layout is challenging but fair. A lot of fun holes (more than most). Highly recommended.

Bella Vista golf course, home of the unplayable sand trap. Leaving 2 stars because it’s a very nicely laid out course, however 90% of the sand traps on the course are absolutely unplayable. Particularly the trap in front of 7 green and the 16 fairway traps. Traps are about as hard as red shale and filled with rocks. The traps that aren’t hard as rocks are a different type of sand that can be compared to baking flour. It’s a shame because the rest of the course is very nice, but it is clear that they put forth no effort into maintaining their sand traps

The course is always in great shape even on the frigid day where snow is falling I still enjoy playing there. Always love playing number 14 a true island hole. The course is fair but challenging and They have awesome food at the break at their snack bar.Great job by the staff of Bella Vista keeping us coming back for more

It has been a number of years since I played this course. The folks working there are very friendly, the course itself is in okay shape, not bad for end of July. I had a later Saturday afternoon tee time and we were delayed in teeing off. The round was on pace for 5 hours due to slow play in front of us. Waiting on every tee box and fairway just takes all the joy out of a round. We ended up bailing after 13 holes, couldn't take waiting any longer. I would play the course again but maybe earlier in the day, the ranger needs to move things along and the starter should prevent late tee times from teeing off.
