Great self service kiosk for buying postage for first class mail and sending mail less time to get help from USPS employees. Service is courteous and helpful when needed. Overall I like this place.

I usually go to this post office once every two weeks, and always have a pleasant experience with Steven. However on an instance where the delivery guarantee was just not met, the staff was unable to help me at all. The reasoning was that they knew nothing about the particular address I was posting to, as it is not in San Carlos. So expect a bad time once they finally lose one of your packages. You'd be ok if everything you post is being delivered in San Carlos though. :)

I visit this post office 2-3 days a week, and ship thousands of packages a year through them. I have always found the staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Having relocated from midtown Manhattan, this post office is an absolute dream. Very rarely a line and always a friendly face :)

Set up temporary forwarding to a friend's house I stayed at in San Carlos while I looked for a more permanent living situation. A week before I moved to Sunnyvale, I halted the temporary forwarding and set up a new one to my new house. Despite the halt, my mail was still getting delivered to the house in San Carlos. After many phone calls with both this branch and USPS HQ, they determined I'd have to submit an additional change of address. After filing the new change (and leaving a note to never deliver mail to the San Carlos house again), they continue to deliver mail there...

Yes!!!
Start at the USPS website. There are forms to fill out, plus you have to bring a certified copy of your birth certificate. Then you will have to call in to make an appointment. When I called in the next available appointment was almost a month away.
