I really wanted to like this place. Independently owned and good selection, all things I value. So why only 2 stars... Today I went there to check out their selection of native California plants. I wasn't too impressed, but found one plant. On my way to the check out I passed their succulent section. There are signs everywhere stating that 2" pots cost $2.99. There are rows and rows of 2" pots with various succulents and again multiple signs 2" pots cost $2.99. So I picked one and went to check out. Upon checking my receipt I noticed that they had charged $7.99 for the 2" plant. When I asked why the clerk responded it is a rare plant and cost more. I pointed to all the $2.99 signs and he went to get his supervisor. The supervisor showed me the $7.99 sticker on my 2" pot of which I replied that all the 2" - $2.99 signs are misleading, it should state "most" or a give a range. He just shrugged and pointed again to the sticker on the pot. I never got the idea to check the pot since there were big signs all over the place stating that 2" pots cost $2.99. If I hadn't checked the receipt I would not have noticed the price discrepancy. So the 2 stars are for their misleading labeling practice.

Such a lovely nursery! My boyfriend and I were trying to look for bonsais and they have a pretty great selection. Their outdoor plant selection is quite large, and they also have a lot of succulents to choose from. They had a smaller indoor collection, but still worthwhile to check out. They also sold a variety of different soils, like bonsai potting soil.

Great nursery hidden at the edge of a neighborhood! We thought we missed a turn or something. There's a large variety of plants sourced from local growers and other nurseries. Some of the best selection of supplies, too. Outside of Highway 92 and the South bay, this is our new favorite spot for plant stuff.

I really appreciate that it seemed like almost all the plants I was interested in had info cards so you knew if they were going to work in your intended planting area. I'm not sure if that's common for nurseries but thought it was cool. Yes, parking lot is a little small. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and helpful. They had a lot of different succulents at different sizes, I got excited and bought a bunch!

This is a great place, they have pretty much everything , nice healthy plants, even just to look around
They do.
Repotting starts at 20 dollars but we will have to measure out the pot for pricing
All staff temperatures and conditions are checked prior to them starting work, we sterilize all carts and surfaces at checkout between each customer, deep cleaning to restrooms is done twice a day or more if necessary, aisles have been widened and check out has been moved to outside, our indoor space has been redone to have improved ventilation but will still cap the indoor space to a max of 5 people at a time, we have also put together a program that outlines our COVID-19 preparedness procedures that is posted throughout the nursery and can be examined in more detail. Thanks again, -Chris
Sorry we haven't been able to get that from any of our current suppliers, the one we historically got them from closed up shop back in 2019 and we haven't been able to find them since. We are still looking, but making a special order for it at this time is not possible, thanks, chris
Hey Frank, we have a shipment due in between early-mid April. If the weather stays nice it will be ready sooner. Its best to check our website and look at the new arrival section as that is where I will post any new arrivals. Thanks, Chris
Vegetables should be planted in the spring. However you could grow in a greenhouse all year long.
You will need to call for prices
We will be continuing our Drive-Thru Service for now. We will announce on our website when we will open our nursery to walk-ins. Note: We are actively working out details (like limiting the parking lot, limiting visitor capacity, creating a new checkout area, etc.) We want to re-open under the safest way possible. We are expecting to make a change within the next few weeks.
We sure do, sweet peas, English peas, snow peas and snap peas! Take care, Chris
We do carry those in 25' and 50' lengths.
We do carry them, stop and by and we can show you the different varieties we have in stock. Thanks! -Chris
Unfortunately, none of our suppliers grow the William Shakespeare rose, you may want to come in and speak to our rose expert nelson, he could give you a potential substitute. Thanks, Chris
When ever they look nice, we will bring them in, we can also special order them for you. Thanks!
We have a fish bone meal that works wonderfully for that!
We do carry a number of choices when it comes to mulch, we have multiple selections in a number of different materials, (cedar, redwood, coconut coir, etc) and a number of different sizes. All of our mulches are pre-bagged, for easy, clean unloading out of your car and also ensures your mulch doesn't have any contaminants, (weeds, seeds and other undesirable things). It would be best to come by and check out our mulch rack, so you can get an overview on which mulch best suits your needs and of course, if you aren't sure, you can always ask one of us. -Chris
Sorry about the delay, we try to keep it in our inventory but are currently out of stock. We are in the process of finding more once they meet our retail standards.
I would honestly call them and ask if you're after a specific cultivar. Good luck!
You will have to call them. I wasnt looking tor them.
It's never too late to plant bulbs if they don't flower this year they'll flower next year
For sure! They are very tasty! We have 3-4 varieties in stock that would do great here.
