Just a cozy place to slow down, spend some time to let go of life, and just to have an open mind. Also there's tons of things to do inside the main lodge if you get bored doing that. But otherwise, a perfect option for retreats and worship.

We came here for lunch on Christmas wile we were staying at the hot springs. Amazing place right by the water and the food was very good.

Stayed in the guest cabin for a personal retreat. Had everything I needed, wonderful grounds, helpful people, and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for seeking God and renewing the spirit.

I had no idea of what the St. Benedicts Lodge would be like, and was very pleased with our experience. My family had a reunion there at the end of May. The weather was nice, and we spent a lot of time outside catching up on each other's lives. Taking strolls or hikes along the river, in the forest filled with old growth trees, or sitting at outside tables. 70 acres to enjoy. Close to our (lovely) cabins was a huge deck and firepit, overlooking the river. We watched rafters and kayakers floating past, and in the evening sat around the fire talking, or just listening to the rushing waters. On the first night, we were going to make dinner for 18 people. I was so happy to be shown a commercial kitchen, stocked with not only plates and utensils, but all sizes of cookware, and huge prep counters and butcher block surfaces, and large gas oven/stoves. The Friars who run the Lodge were accommodating, informative and helpful, and we would like to make this a yearly event.

They do in building A, where the dining hall and bigger kitchen is.
I was there a couple of weeks ago and it looked like they did it on site. The pies did look store bought but they were still very good.
