This part is super nice very well-kept and the pond and the trail are fantastic. Great place for just a walk or if you want to take kids to the park to play either in the playground or basketball I love coming here. The trails lead to a pond very nice and peaceful.

Amazing place to take a quick trip to and get some naturally selected fresh air and sunshine in your life. The people are nice, the geese are friendly, the play gym and swing set are in tact, the picnic area has grill boxes and some shelter. Overall I loved it here and I'd return even if just to catch a few honeysuckles!

Real cool set up with walkways above the wetlands. Small park but connects to greenbelt so it can be as long as you want it to be.

Is this a decent place to get in a 10-15 Mile run?

Not unless you're running the greenbelt trail, clearly marked behind the lake (walk under the lirr tunnel). The trail goes all the way to Vets highway. You can pass through the gate, use the recently installed traffic signal to stop traffic, cross vets (continuing south) then go through the gate, continuing on the greenbelt all the way to the south shore. Wanna run on a paved surface? You want to go to Heckscher in East Islip.
