We were looking for a place to park, eat our take-out, and enjoy the scenery. Perfect spot. Looked to our left, looked to our right, and noticed others doing the exact same thing. Perfect pandemic dinner spot.

Busy spot in the middle of summer but great launch at any tide with good docks and lots of parking for trailers.

Never thought I'd be reviewing a boat ramp but here I am! Great input for the Merrimac. They have a designated in and out side with docks all season and dock boys in the summer during the day. The parking lot is set up so you can easily back your trailer in and get out quickly. Everyone I've run into here has been super friendly and helpful. The downside is that this is a major port in this area and it can get quite busy. The water heading out of the mouth of the river is pretty choppy but once you get past there it's a nice ride. This is a super easy boat ramp if you just have two people and a small boat as the set up make it very easy to manage.
