This one has been here for ages. We stopped by for a late lunch when in the area and wanted Japanese (Is Yamaguchi in Port Washington now open for dinner only?) Should have gone else. Service is so so, so is the food. Two soups that comes with sashimi are ok - miso and onion soup. When we done eating, have to wait for a long time for our bill, as if they’ve forgotten that we were there. Getting their attention is pretty hard to accomplish. The handheld credit card machine is a plus. The tip starts at 18%. It’s my first time, under her watchful eyes, I changed it to less. It’s not difficult to do. On disposable chopsticks 🥢: why are we still using them? I took it out of the paper pouch, and break them apart, and wiped them on my red napkin. Shockingly, I saw white marks. What are these white marks? How sanitized are these disposables and are they really good for our health?!?

1st time visiting, we loved the fact that it wasn't crowded inside, the food was soooooooo good especially the lobster!!! Long Island ice tea and ocean blue was also very tasty. My kids enjoyed the entertainment done by the chef !!! Surely will revisit !!! Prices is about $40-$40 per person.

I am super disappointed and angry at the dishonest server who took advantage of me using multiple gift cards! I stopped by to celebrate my anniversary last night and used the gift cards I purchased during Xmas last year , the restaurant gave the bonus gift cards only in 10 dollars per card , so I gave her total of 6 bonus cards and one non-expired gift card, I didn’t remember my balance so I told her to check and put the left over amount on my credit card. I totally trusted her and didn’t check cuz we had two kids to attend to. When I got home I looked over the receipt and found out that she over charged me 30+ dollars , I even gave her a 20% tip at the end! It’s unbelievable!!! I called the restaurant they told me to bring the receipt in tmr and talk to the manager to sort things out. I didn’t think this kind of thing would happen at one of my favorite restaurants. Super super super disappointed…. Not sure if I would go back anymore

I went to Manhasset Benihana and I had the greatest time of my life. The people around me were friendly and that’s a great way to meet new people. The Chef was fantastic, gave us a great and funny performance. The food fresh and it was absolutely delicious The portions were huge. The place was really clean. I definitely recommend it.
