Usually I’ll go here for a few quick things because it’s convenient but i feel like walking through an entire Walmart super store and self check out would be faster than walking through the Oxford Dollar General. I usually grab 2-3 items and it usually takes me about 20 min to get out of there because there’s only 1 or 2 people working and no one is ever at the register. Half the time I have to yell across the store “can someone check me out? Helllooooo?” and that’s when someone comes running out of the break room saying “sorry sorry sorry”. Tell that worker to put his weed pen down and work. I almost don’t wanna walk into that establishment ever and don’t get me started on the looks of the store. Bins everywhere, boxes everywhere, U boats blocking 8 of 10 isles. I recommend AVOIDING Oxford Dollar General.

I was looking at beauty products and a Staff person came up next to me with a box and was like excuse me and started stocking things on the wall right in front of me!!! I felt like I was in her way so I just went to the checkout..not be greeted..or even acknowledged by the person who cashed me out only to say goodbye..not the first time I have been cashed out by her..no hello no thank you!! I realize they have their job to do with merchandise..but it’s not like I was going to camp out there!! I think she could have given me a minute to shop instead of taking over the place I was standing in front of..rude..and rude at the checkout. 1 star because I like all of the other Dollar General’s I go to..Prospect, CT store is sooo much better!!

I love all The Dollar General stores. I found a lot of great food items that I went there for. This one was low on alot of things probably because of its popularity and location. I enjoyed the shopping experience and bought some nice garden things. Can't wait to visit again.

Despite some push back from the community this has been a great addition to the town for me. I go at least once a week to grab milk, diapers or some rock salt. I like that it is a small store and I am in and out quick. Staff is always friendly , prices are fantastic and there are always coupons. Only reason not 5 stars is because one item I always need is cream and for some reason this store never has any in stock.
