Beautiful views. Clean water. Great place to kayak. Supposedly a good trout spot but I haven't had any luck there in two visits.

The boat launch could be better, but I still gave it five stars because it's simply beautiful there and the parking area is paved and a fairly decent size. The boat launch is small and rocky with an incline. Not a lot of room to maneuver. A porta-potty is usually available and there are some cameras monitoring the area because it is MDC property.

IT IS A NICE PLACE TO WALK FOR A LITTLE BIT AND DO EXERCISE AND YOU HAVE TO PARK YOUR CAR FOR FROM HERE

Beautiful views all around. The walk down to the river is steep but worth it. Great fishing down below on the river. Nice place to picnic!

Yes but they have cement barriers at the bottom and it's easy to maneuver around them with a smaller boat like a kayak.

RE: Hogback reservoir CT boat launch and area?? First- is it a paved road leading from route 8 to the boat launch and are there any particulars I should be aware of- thanks??
