Got married here. The hotel is in an exquisite natural setting. Recently visited again and went hiking. Nice trails, some get more challenging. Lovely little streams and shady areas. There’s a lookout on one of the trails and there’s a breathtaking view of the Mountain House and the surrounding mountains.

What a treasure. We had such a great time. Yes, you’re going to pay a lot for either a day (not hiking) pass, or an overnight, but you will get your money’s worth. She did a spa treatment and raved about it. We walked the grounds and house for a good portion of the day. The lake was enjoyable, we even found paths that were rarely taken that lead to spectacular views. The main dining was nice, good food and better views. Exceptional staff. Will definitely be doing this again.

We were looking forward to our experience at Mohonk - and we really loved the views, shoutout to Anthony - the very personable and friendly guide who took us hiking, as well as the staff at the boathouse. The hikes are fantastic, and the views from all around - truly breathtaking! The service however is another story. When I booked our dates, I mentioned to the agent about our family being vegetarian and was assured we would be taken care of in the best possible way. For the amount I was paying, I was hoping this would be a lot of fun. The menu seems to cater only to meat eaters, with a few things thrown in like salads and fries for the vegetarian/vegans. The dinner menu had nothing vegetarian in it, and all they could do was a tofu stir fry! I've been to all-inclusive resorts, and this was quite the disappointment. The service - apart from one or two people in the restaurant, is seriously in need of some training. As we were leaving, the valet brought out our car, and we noticed a bunch of scratches and dents that we told them about - they took pictures and said would get back after checking security cameras, but as I expected, we apparently "drove in with those scratches". Pricey place, with peanuts to offer in the name of customer service.

This is a special place to many and while the costs can break a budget, you certainly get the value. The activities around the campus (all included) both winter and summer are fun and enjoyable! Best of all, the food is amazing! For some this is an annual retreat, for others it’s a nice gift. For all, it’s a great place! Only complaint is some services, delivery of wood and checking in took significantly longer then expected.

There is a house doctor and all the Security employees are certified EMTs
If you are an overnight guest, meals are included in your price package.
The day pass we purchased eas 65 i believe. Included aceess to hiking, gardens, some activities, lunch and afternoon tea. Nightly stays sre 700 to 800 for a nuce, nice room, but all activities and neals are included. Spa is extra. I had a gard time on their site also.
If you enjoy walking there is loads to be had and the house naturalist Mike has multiple guided hikes every day! I highly recommend the rock scramble and lemon squeeze! Tough but worth it!!! If you hate walking just dont. There is loads else to do, like the spa and lake activites. The indoor pool, etc.
Parking is free and they have a one day pass contract then and they will give you the info you need
