Quite a small zoo, only took me and my husband about an hour to get through, but still worth a visit I think. The tickets are $19.95 each for adults. They have a mix of indoor and outdoor enclosures so you can escape the heat/cold (depending on the season.) The gift shop is also quite expansive. I'd suggest buying tickets ahead of time online.

This was my second time here and I loved it just as much! The zoo in itself isn't too big, you can see everything in 1h/1h30, but there's still so much to see! My favorites are the bears (adorable!) and the red panda (even more adorable) but all the animals here are worth seeing. Would recommend sticking around for the sea lions feeding !

Small but beautiful zoo at and exceptional location. Has indoor and outdoor animal exhibits. I really liked the sea lion show, indoor tropical zone and the penguin exhibit. Grizzly bear is at a beautiful location with a waterfall and a small river. Definitely recommended. Has a separate children's petting zoo.

The Central Park Zoo is a convenient location for our kids to explore wildlife. The good in the cafe was good, but slightly more expensive than what we would be able to get from other places (which was as expected). We got a 10% discount from the cafe with our membership. The number of exhibits was good, not too many to kill me from dragging my kids around, and enough for the kids to spend hours. It’s nice that some of the birds were just walking around free style. I was a little concerned about the birds’ safety, but making sure the kids does not accidentally step in the birds’ way will help not to scare them or the kids. We were fortunate enough to see the snow leopard, but the bears were not there (which was a pity as my son loves bears). We can always go back to see again as the ticket for my kid was just $8.95. It’s a nice spot to hangout with little friends right in there in Central Park!

No, they took a train from Grand Central Station
No, I believe it escaped 😉
Online or at the zoo, online you can get 10% off admission and they just scan the tickets from your phone
No you can not. Been there 2 times and haven't seen them
No, there aren’t any at this zoo. However they have a snow leopard. If you’d like to see lions I recommend the Bronx Zoo
