Here's a joke for you; how does a city offer free legal aid to tenants when their landlords won't fix a living hazard i.e. leaking roof and indoor puddles? They don't. Lol! Applied for advice, and they said that I make too much money for free aid. Interesting, because after paying rent, utilities, and grocery bills I can't seem to find enough change in my couch cushions to afford a lawyer. Gotta love the grey area.

when they tell you right off the bat they cant help you. the woman that answers the phone is very unprofessional. giving attitude when a person doesnt understand why there not able to obtain help. no conflict of interest or anything. alot of fathers that have reached out asking for help and have been denied right from the start. she will tell you take it up with the goverment.

The message says its open 9 to 1, but all u get is greeting that repeats, no one answers, no way to leave message. Kind of a joke.

UPDATE 10/2018 - The receptionist was a pain but the LAWYER herself was fantastic. I had several phone consultations once I got past the rude front desk person (who may well work elsewhere by now) and I received lucid, useful, educational, and protective tips and suggestions from the lawyer on staff regarding a landlady who used her key to sneak into my and the other apts when she saw the parking spots empty and I was glad to have this lawyers help. Sadly, I no longer have her name, but she was great, really great. earlier post - The receptionist just hung up on me after repeating the same unanswerable question several times, blaming me for her not understanding what I said to begin with. I really hope calls are recorded because she’s quite unprofessional. The lawyer herself is good and I consulted her 4 months ago but you have to get past the irrational secretary first. Good luck.
