We use another local doggy daycare, but wanted to get our dogs some training. We have a new puppy who has been more difficult to train, and a 2 year old dog who needs to brush up on his skills. We are seeing results from the training after just one session! We were sent home with a detailed binder of information, and we were given updates from Jocelyn (trainer) as well as an overall report card from the daycare staff. There was even a welcome sign for our pups outside on their first day. So far, we are very impressed by The Barking Dog! Thank you Jocelyn for your hard work with our babies!

This is where we currently board our dogs when we travel. There are I think there locations, clearly these folks have a good operation. There is nothing more important to me than my dogs, and I trust that they will be cared for appropriately here.

I have been taking my dog Stella for training with Jocelyn for about 2 years now. Stella comes twice a week for the day board and train program. This is perfect for both of us. I get to drop Stella off in the morning & she gets to have fun for the day while also learning. It’s honestly SO perfect for my busy schedule AND it’s affordable!!! I don’t have to take time off work and break the bank to make sure my dog gets the training and enrichment she needs. We also have one on one in person sessions with Jocelyn to make sure I understand exactly how to work with Stella at home. This program is perfect for Stella since one of her biggest issues is being reactive towards other dogs (she cannot go to daycare because of this). A group lesson would be more stressful for the both of us and would lack the one on one attention I desire. I have forgone other training programs elsewhere because they only offered group lessons. I also love the personalization that the day board and train has. Jocelyn sends out a questionnaire for us owners to fill out to find out exactly what it is we are looking to get out of the program. Jocelyn sends home updates after each session to tell you what they worked on that day and how she did. Stella has become a whole new dog since she first started training with Jocelyn and it is amazing to see her shine afterwards. Stella gets SO excited to see Jocelyn it makes my heart so happy. I am so happy with my experience and I cannot thank Jocelyn enough for all of her help! Stella and I would follow Jocelyn anywhere!

The staff at the Hooksett location are by far the most caring and accommodating crew I’ve seen. We recently signed up for training with our 7 month old GSD with Jocelyn and are very Satisfied with our results. We were honestly worried our pup was not trainable and had low expectations of any improvement but to our surprise Jocelyn worked with our “little” guy and her results were beyond satisfactory. We now have a controllable family pup and continue to work with him. Her attention to our pups needs and our family’s needs demonstrated A genuine level of caring. As we found out drop off was a very stressful event for myself and our pup, Jocelyn made it a point to come out to my car and with a low stress level escort our pup to class. We enjoyed working with her very much. And I’d also like to mention the boarding staff for all their love and help. Having to pick up our pup with also handling our 1 yo daughter they were always willing to help out. Thank you so much Jocelyn and Staff!

It's a kennel, not a hotel, so I wouldn't think staying with your dog would be good. I can't imagine that they'd have an issue with you visiting your dog while it's being boarded, though. I would recommend calling then directly to find out, though. These are just guesses by me.
No, they are closed July 4
