Favorite local beach to relax at. A phenomenal spot for sunsets too

Love the point. Very nice there. You can see a lot of different wildlife there. You can enjoy Lake Erie while visiting the park. There is a lighthouse museum at the end of the park. Down side is only bathrooms are at the beginning and middle of the park. None from the middle to the end. If the bathrooms are unlocked they are seldom stocked and are in need of cleaning. There aren't always tables at the grills on the far end. It could stand to be a bit more senior friendly. In all the park is a good place for kids to play and you can't beat the serenity it brings you.

Brings back childhood memories! Tears of lost joyful youth and lost love that I'll never get back. Wonderful place to have grown up!

A very pretty, albeit rocky, beach. I don't know what it's like during the summer moths, but I would imagine it gets crowded. I was one of 3 people on the beach that day so it was very pleasant and peaceful.

Yes
The beaches are sand... you can build sand castles. As you enter the water there is a rocky bottom that becomes sand as you venture out to 4 foot depth.
Yes... shelters have electric outlets.
Storms and wind will affect the clarity of the water, but generally speaking, Lake Erie is exceedingly clear. This includes the beaches at Point Gratiot Park.
