I've been residing in one of Emmaus's Unit for the past 16 years! I have witnessed corruption from the very start! I've been a great tenant ( always keep my apartment neat and clean) always ( pay my rent in a timely manner) I fell down my backstairs on December 19th and on December 21st My landlord had maintenance come into my home and slap an emergency exit ONLY on my back door with a small plastic alarm that went NO WHERE!! Pure harassment!! I have been going through hell with the Staff from EMMAUS ever since. BTW, I have ALWAYS used my backstairs and porch prior to December 21st and 2 previous tenants before me used them as well!! Now they are and have been trying to evict me!! I did NOTHING WRONG except fall done a flight of stairs that maintenance didn't take care of!!! The landlord is a BULLY and does not care about anyone but himself!! They constantly send me notices to quit! Now keep in mind this is ALL HAPPENING AFTER I FELL... They say they want to help the homeless yet their motto is " my way or move out" These people are now blackmailing me and saying if I do not drop my lawsuit against them they WILL NOT renew my lease!! That's the truth!!!

I have never stayed there so I can't speak for that but the people that work there helped me with a grant that pays first, last and security for an apartment when I find one and that's huge to me because it would take me forever to save that up. The people I met were so nice and friendly. They didn't make me feel uncomfortable about being in my situation. They treated me as an equal

Emmaus is an incredible support organization for people experiencing homelessness. They are a powerhouse in the Merrimack Valley. Staffed by professionals who really truly care.

Unfortunately the shelter doesn't accept pets.

Would they accept a single person or only families?
Absolutely
They say beds full but usually not but if on cold day and they say that go to police station and they will help you to get in
