I was there for 12 days. Some of the staff cared, but others didn't. while I was there, I got dress coded two times. A girl was assaulted, and someone made chewing tobacco on the Lincoln unit. They give out meds like candy. They were prescribing people meds that were unnecessary, and taking people off of meds that were needed. The showers had terrible water pressure. The chocolate milk was good tho

First time at an inpatient program. Very pleasantly surprised (absolutely NOTHING like the movies! π) There were a few people here that seemed to be 'short' often times, but I'm not going to punish (with a poor review) the rest of the staff- who were great! Like anywhere, it's easier to connect with certain people... But when you decide you are comfortable with a counselor, they are always happy to listen and talk to you about anything. The psychiatrist I met with was very laid back and easy to talk to. I'd rather not have had to be at a facility for my mental health, but I consider myself lucky to have been admitted to Hampstead.

If you have the option of sending someone you know or admitting yourself to Hampstead Hospital or not, chose not to. I was admitted four times. All four times, extremely displeased and disappointed. Some of the staff were great, had compassion and empathy and they truly cared about you. Most of the staff were greatly insensitive and rude, treating the kids there poorly. I was in Lincoln unit three times, and my fourth admission i was in Washington. They both were not great, but Washington unit was terrible. Completely awful. They did not know how to handle breakdowns or tantrums. They wouldnβt deal with kids in crisis, instead they would watch and observe the pain and hurt these kids were feeling, doing nothing about it. Please please please DO NOT send anyone here. You will be unsatisfied.

Thats a Small Portion of the Facility but Yes, it is a rehabilitation program.
Nooooo.....must go through a hospital e room, or your PCP for admittance.
Mostly anything. Just nothing with strings! You can pack a large suitcase if you want.
It is impatient for youths only, by referral
Nothing with straps, cords, or laces. If your jeans don't have those things, you're fine.
