Just moved to Boston and this place made my life so much easier. I have a tiny apartment and trash/recycling pickup in my neighborhood is only on Wednesdays. I had about 50 pounds of flattened cardboard boxes and this was like the only recycling center I saw within 10 miles of my apartment, and I was able to dump everything into the recycling bin. Like a previous reviewer said — be sure to check the hours of operation cause they are accurate!

Great thing to have in the heart of Cambridge! I just moved and had a huge number of boxes to get rid of, drove then down and threw them in a big dumpster. Dumpster wasn't brimming to the top like some other landfills I've been to, was quite empty actually (Saturday morning). Took me a few minutes to find the place, youll want to turn onto Norfolk street and go to the back of the lot where there's a sign for Recycling Center. Had to look on their website to find this out. Make sure they're open when you go! Hours on Google are accurate.

You can recycle it at the recycling center
they do not.
yes, you can stop by the front office of DPW when it's open to get a few free bags. You can also use paper bags to collect food waste. DPW Hours of Service Mon: 8:30AM - 8PM Tue - Thu: 8:30AM - 5PM Fri: 8:30AM - 12PM
yes--just the machine is accepted for electronic waste recycling. You may only visit and drop-off during open hours.
We don't recycle by number. The way to determine if an item is recyclable is to answer two questions: 1. Is it a plastic bag? If so, it must meet these qualifications to be accepted in the plastic bag recycling area at the Recycle Center. https://www.cambridgema.gov/Services/CurbsideCollections#!rc-page=253145 2. Is it a rigid plastic container? If so, it can be recycled curbside or in our single-stream recycling roll-off.
it costs more to pic it up,than its worth !
Yes--the contractor that collects this clears the data

No, we prefer that all recyclables such as glass, paper, aluminum, and plastic containers be recycled curbside rather than dropped off. All the recycling go to the same facility for processing.
Yes. They have a bin for electronics.
Probably. May be they just junk it. Try them out.
