Remember Spags? The topsy-turvy, stuff piled everywhere kind of place that was everyone's favorite place to shop? Well, even though Spags is gone, Whitco carries on the tradition. At first glance, it's nothing to look at. Incredibly narrow aisles, stuff piled everywhere, and customers in the way at every turn. Kind of like one of those electronics stores in NYC. A one of a kind experience, run by a family, not a distant corporation. But once you stay awhile you realize that this place is something special. Great prices, knowledgeable, friendly staff, and decent service. You won't find a spacious showroom, glitzy displays, or any sort of merchandising, but they have everything in stock, and the help knows where everything is. I never went here until a real estate rental friend suggested I try them, and the first sale blew away the big box stores. So glad that mom and pop places like this still manage to hang on, and compete with the Fortune 500 places.

Thank you so much. I called late Friday afternoon because our washing machine just died. I was talked through my options of washers and purchased one over the phone.
