The candy is super good. Best part is the staff. Really nice people. They go the "extra step" to be friendly and helpful. We go every year a Christmas time (they have Santa and candy cane making). Even our teenagers still look forward to this!

Super cute candy shop! And they have ice cream. We went for the first time today. Excited for some candy from a local shop. Well this place has been around for 100 years and they know exactly how to treat customers to keep them coming back. We had a scoop of ice cream each and sat in the quaint shop. Our candy enthusiast helped me pick a sweet treat as well as sample a couple ice creams before we decided on our favorite. My only regret is that I didn’t get a candy cane but we will return another day. The staff made this experience exceptional and will be back on our next adventure!!

The Martinsville Candy Kitchen was originally opened by Jimmy Zapapas, a Greek immigrant. There have been several owners over the years, but the business has been open continuously since 1919 on the downtown square in Martinsville.
