My husband and I were excited to check out the reopened cinema. The staff was lovely, but we were disappointed overall. One of our meals was totally cold, and the wait staff does not come back to check on you once delivering your food so you have to get up and leave the movie if you have an issue. The other meal was hot and pretty tasty, but the plastic utensils make it really hard to cut food on a paper plate in the dark. There is a lamp on the table, so that helps a little. The chairs are rolling office/desk chairs. Not terribly uncomfortable, but different for sure. The cocktails were really good, and again the staff were kind and helpful. An experience touted as “luxury” fell short of our expectations.

Great ticket prices and the seats were more comfortable than expected. Staff was great and polite. For food we ordered vegan and non-vegan options. Prices were a tad expensive and all were served in paper boats & bowls with plasticware. Overall the place is nice and we had a decent experience, but the food doesn't seem to align with what they are going for.

Not my thing. I found the serving of food, lights on tables all a distraction. The tables and office chairs were a turn off for me because I felt like I was in my office watching a movie. However, there is nothing they could do differently, the experience just wasn't for me. It was very cold and I like cold but it was too cold for me. I just did not enjoy the experience. It was underwhelming for me personally but employees/owners were welcoming. My 23 year old son felt the same. We would not return.

Great time. Caught some Fever on a Tuesday night. Saturday Night Fever. Good food and drink delivered to your comfortable seats. All was great.

Maybe they will!!!
No. You can just show up for the second one, but you still pay the same price. They typically post the start time of the second movie as well.
Hello, I'm the co-owner of the Cinema Theater. Yes, we still accept the coupons (passes) for movie tickets, as well as the ones for concessions. We sell the passes in bundles of 10 movie passes, 1 small popcorn, and 1 small drink. The cost is currently $50 for the package.
FREE Parking across Clinton Ave. Be a few minutes early to get the best space. Close to Clinton Ave is best.
The theater is going through renovations and will be open in late September.
Hello Aarionna, As of June 25, 2020, we are open only for virtual screenings (movies that you can stream at home). We expect to re-open fully sometime in mid-July. You can keep up with developments by visiting our website at cinemarochester.com, where you can also sign up for our newsletter. And you can check our Facebook page, as well. We hope to see you soon!
$7 regular price for the evening double feature, $5 senior and student price for double feature, $5 for matinee
The ticket prices are listed on our website: http://cinemarochester.com/ticket-prices/ As Avila said, students, seniors, and children under 18 are $5. Adults are $7. Matinées are $5 for everyone. Special screenings sometimes have different pricing.
Matinée tickets are $5 for everyone (there are occasional exceptions when we have a special screening, such as the recent Italian Film Series). Our evening double feature is $7 for adults and $5 for seniors over 62, students, and children. For questions such as this, I would suggest contacting us through Facebook Messenger, or calling our office number at 585.271.1786. (I'm the co-owner of the Cinema. Note that two of the answers in this thread are not correct.)
Hi Kathy, Brian has the correct prices (thanks, Brian!). We had to raise ticket prices a couple of months ago. This was the first price increase in 12 years, and only the second increase in 35 years.
