Great place for biking or running. Indulging yourself in the river breeze while enjoying the scenic view of the bridges. Sit back & relax 😌

This stretch of the Charles River is especially beautiful during the spring and fall seasons. In spring, there are willows Yiyi by the riverside, and clusters of pink cherry blossoms are dotted on the blue Charles River, which is particularly eye-catching! Walking, biking, skating, meditating, reading, taking pictures, running, a small children's playground, it is a good choice for people of any age! Only one thing is not ideal, there is no parking lot, you can only walk here.

This is a great place for a leisurely stroll post afternoon lunch. The place was calm and quiet when we visited and it was very relaxing. . There is a well maintained trail that runs along the river. We also spotted few birds. Although this place is located close to the heart of the city, once you are inside, you feel as if you are completely insulated from all the hustle and bustle outside. Car parking could be a problem. If you are lucky, you could get a parking spot on the streets nearby.

Favorite place to bike ride in the city! Gorgeous views all around, and somehow despite being right off Storrow, you feel completely snug in a nature oasis. No better feeling than seeing the esplanade alive on the first nice day of spring! A must visit when you come to the city!

I really recommend you to use the subway, otherwise you are going to have to look for a parking spot on the streets (streets close to Boston common are usually the best place to find parking spots) or you can also park at the Boston common garage. Either way you will need to walk a little.
Hello Susan. My name is Bryan Montejunas and I work for the Esplanade Association. I'm the person who installed the plaque that you donated. The Fanny Appleton footbridge is probably your best option for accessing the park. The footbridge features a ramp that will bring you very close to the bench that your plaque is installed at. The footbridge is located near the MGH MBTA stop on Charles St. I'd be very happy to meet you at the footbridge and bring you to see your plaque. I can provide my contact information if that's something you're interested in.
Do you mean the kind people use for grocery shopping/laundry? Yes, that's fine.
