My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights before staying at Bomoseen State Park for 2 nights. The atmosphere between the 2 parks are night and day, which was expected - what was not expected was the level of care the staff here clearly puts into the sites and bathrooms! Possibly the best cared for sites and bathrooms I've seen in VT state parks thus far. (Whereas Bomoseen was the worst...) The only not so great thing about this park were the horse and deer flies. My bites are still driving me crazy! But it's a lovely pond, and the bugs love it too! The staff was also incredibly nice and helpful. While there, we were expecting a storm with strong winds. The staff went around to give people a heads up on the timing, offered more tent stakes if needed, and even offered up ideas for things to do in the area during the storm. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful little park, staff are great, restrooms are in good shape and clean. Sites right on the pond nice when you can get one, but all sites look good. Ice and firewood available on site, closest convenience store is about 20 minutes one way, so generally pack what you need. Water is good for swimming and frequently tested.

We love this campground! Quiet, clean, lots to do at the park and within a short drive.

Small pond is super clean and pretty magical to kayak in the morning and sunset times. The lake steams and is super quiet. There are hiking paths to upper little ponds. Spot 29 is pretty sweet spot right on the waterfront.

Hi this is Jim wheeler I was asking to see if when it does return to society that the campgrounds is open I was wondering if there was a possibility are we allowed to use the public showers and be able to sit at a pic table while we eat I was just wondering what the rules and regulations are going to be thank you
No it's a state park, its dry camping but it has bathroom facilities with showers
The Rutland Farmers market on Saturday would be an excellent option. The best Farmers market in the state.
Go to VT state parks eeb site and look at the interactive map for half moon to see which sites can handle an RV
Prices would be on the VT State Parks' website. Usually around $18 / night for a tent if you are from VT, maybe $23-25 if out--of-state. One of my favorite campgrounds.
just check their online reservations page :D they don't have a premium for holiday weekends
no
Not sure exactly what youre asking, but if you want to know if your dogs are allowed to go camping with you at halfmoon, then yes, you can camp with your dogs as long as they have updated vaccination records present. Also, dogs arent allowed in the day use areas like the beach. But there are lots of great campsites right on the water if youd like your dogs to be able to swim. I hope this was helpful
