Great library! It’s historic and very well kept. Staff is friendly and there is usually space to study. Only detractor is that you must pay for parking and there is a four hour limit but other than that it is an excellent place to be.

A fantastic library with great librarians. The library itself is in a unique and historical building. The library has a great selection of books.

Robbins Library is our favorite place in Arlington! All the staff there is very friendly and helpful. We moved to Arlington 11 years ago. Since than we have spend hundreds of hours in the library. I love cooking and my wife loves physics and medicine. Through all this years Robbins library help up us evolve and become better in our careers and even become better humans. Unfortunately my wife Margarita has been suffering from a kidney failure for a very long time. The director of the library Andrea Nicolay is very kind, compassionate and professional person! We want to thank Robbins Library and especially Andrea Nicolay for all the support we had in those hard times for us! We will never forget your help and we will stay strong as a community!

This is a beautiful Library, where the staff is both nice and efficient. They have contactless and regular pickup during Covid. They have provided fun and whimsical artwork above the indoor book drop. I moved here from Chicago. I had forgotten a book I needed to return and said "Oh, I forgot this book and it's due. I guess I can't check anything out until I return it." I was recalling Chicago Public Library rules. They said "What? No, that's mean. Just return it as soon as you can. We can check these books out for you." I'll never forget that.

Hi! We are taking walk-ins and making appointments for short-term browsing now, and on June 21 Robbins and Fox resume normal operations with no capacity limits or time limits. Thanks for your question and for your patience!
I would ask at the Resource Desk, if you're talking about Arlington's Robbins Library. I have had this issue with 1 or 2 books & the woman with whom I spoke was able to make the request that wouldn't go through digitally. There are apparently 2 interlibrary loan programs & she explained that one type has to be done by a Librarian.
Yes, we have many tables and chairs available and we also offer two bookable study rooms: https://www.robbinslibrary.org/services/reserve-a-room/
There are never overdue fines on items checked out at Robbins or Fox Library. Just bring it back as soon as you can. Thanks!
Hi Kari, We do not accept donations at this time, but the Friends of the Robbins Library have hosted drop-off events from time to time during the pandemic. The best way to learn about those events is to become a Friends member or sign up for the library newsletter. http://friendsofrobbinslibrary.org/ https://www.robbinslibrary.org/ Thanks!
If you would like, I'd be glad to help you put office (word, excel etc.) on your mac for you. There are also cloud alternatives for word processing
There is a playground at the back of the lawn behind the library. With a library card, kids can borrow toys dictates in the kids department. There are usually 2-3 events for little kids each week: story time, crafts, sing along etc. Usually you need to arrive 30 min before to collect a ticket. See their website for their calendar of events
