Absolutely amazing. Best park in Vermont. Rivals Burlington Waterfront park. In fact, Newport is like a smaller more perfect Burlington. Parking lot is big, but needs resurfacing.

Loved it. Had a place on the lake. Simple gorgeous. Clean bathrooms. We stayed longer to enjoy Newport, the local restaurants and general feel of the town.

The place is gorgeous! Sitting on a glacial lake replete with miles of walking paths and a canoe/kayak marina. But the staff, in particular "Raven" was great! We had a problem with our rig that required a mobile welder and she took time out of her life to go the extra mile to get us hooked up!

We loved it. What a NEK hidden gem. Took us about hour and a half to walk full loop including the amazing wooden bridge. Peaceful walking path with tons to see and explore. Said "hello friend" to all we passed. Kids had fun starting in the areas best kid friendly playground.

The boat launch is not at Prouty Beach, but at the big docks a couple miles around the bend with the Northern Star.

Not for camping or swimming! There is a snowmobile trail that passes through it and you can walk in, snowshoe, or cross country ski there.
