I was in rehab for 10 months had a lot of problems but the staff and faculty help me through it. OT and PT is the best and thinks outside the box making it easier for me to get better. The nurses and LNA work really hard with the residents even though there understaffed. Some people think that they should have full-service 24\7 but it isn't a one on one 24\7 place. They do their best but you are just one of 125 . Business Dept. and Social Services are the best help me out a lot couldn't live with out them cannot thank them some much for all they did to get me home. The food was good but industrial not all people like it. I like my time there the employees i enjoyed from custodial to maintain, nursing and office workers. With out them I wouldn't be home today. A made some new friends at the same time. Thanks again

Genesis has to be the worst of the worst. My mother in law was in rehab there for back pain. While living there she developed a very serious gastro intestinal infection about 2 weeks ago. She was left unattended for the first 5 days with serious diarrhea. When we finally went up there and talked to the registered nurse, she was given an IV overnight and felt a lot better the next day. However she never completely recovered and is still sick with nausea and vomiting. Because of the infection the therapists could not work with her on a regular basis and she is very weak. This morning she was discharged and told my husband, her son and power of attorney, that she was vomiting as she was being put in a wheelchair to be discharged. Is that the way Genesis and their staff treat older people. I feel sorry for those who have no family to check up on them! My mother in law was told by the business office that her Medicare coverage had expired. This is not true. She has medicare coverage up to 100 days of stay if she is not ready to go home.

I came to BHR very sad and uncertain if I would be returning home. But when I came to this facility, it was a whole renewal. Every step I took was encouraging. The whole floor was encouraging and supportive of me. Every day I worked with my therapist - they were just fantastic and so encouraging to me. They would say to me "You can take one more step Lydia, You can do it!" The nurses are fantastic and I love it here. I just kept making progress and progress. It's been a long journey but it has come to an end. Excellent, excellent therapists. I took my very first step with my therapist! Everyone who wants to come for recovery come here. My journey was eight months. Eight months of support and encouragement. I'm definitely coming back to visit!

Therapy is excellent here. Nursing care is great too! My nurse is great; knows everything about me and is spot on. The food is even pretty good considering this is not a restaurant. It's been really relaxing being here. I came here because I've been here before; I know the places that are out there and these guys are GOOD! Would definitely recommend BH&R. Everybody's been really super nice and have treated not only me but my fiance very nicely. She's part of my life and I like the way it's handled here. Ive got a nice room and a nice location. This has been really good for me. I"ve got the stuff I needed from here which is the main thing (getting better) and everyone did a great job. I would stay longer if I wasn't getting better!
