Super place for skates, I needed a pair for pond skating, purely recreational. Have a plate in my ankle and was fitted so no pain, tight not hurt. Very attentive, supportive owner. And had a pair of used that are perfect for me and fitted to me so well. Also great fellow skate shoppers. Nicest place, do not be put off by hole in the wall appearance. An appointment is helpful (which I did not have but got to me in due time and worth the wait).

I highly recommend The Ice House for skate sharpening. My son used to complain after I would get his skates sharpened (hockey). I started working in Wellesley and a coworker recommend The Ice House. I started going there 3 years ago and my son has never complained since. I will not go anywhere else and I have since recommended them to other hockey parents I know in the area. Always greeted with a smile when walking through the door. Looks like they sell 99% figure skates, but I always see people getting hockey skates sharpened there.

I needed my kids' figure skates sharpened. They did a great job. No need to make an appointment unlike most places. First come first served. Highly recommended. They also have reasonably priced quality used skates for sale. A good bargain!
