Forever my favorite bar. Mr.Goodbar has been around for generations and the newest owner has taken it to the next level. It is so clean, the staff is so competent and friendly it is obvious they love where they work and who they work for and the food is not your typical bar food quality. It's the chicken wings and chicken fingers you'd expect but the fingers are like boneless, skinless chicken you'd find in a nice, dine in restaurant. Their dedication to promoting and supporting the local arts community through their tireless selection of live music is unparalleled and speaking of selection, their beer selections rivals that of any corporate establishment and with a way better atmosphere.

Amazing craft selection. More than I could possible try. Unique draft special with a punch card. Went on a Saturday night and the place was pretty lively. Hockey was on and the place was cheering on Jack and Skinner had a nice home town feel.

Currently we are not hosting a traditional music open mic. We have a comedy open mic on Thursday nights on our 2nd floor starting at 8pm, sign up at 7-7:30. We also do a Tuesday Night Ramble, which is more of a open campfire style circle. Musicians follow a music scheme. All are welcome, but its more structured. We are currently not hosting an individual music open mic. We may start one up again in the future if you want to follow us on all social media you will be sure to know if we do!
Hi Deborah, We do have a cover on Fridays for the live music that we do. On the 2nd floor starting at 8pm there is a $5 cover for the band. And on the 1st floor starting at 10pm there is a $3 cover for the band. These are the standard amounts, but occasionally they may vary a little depending on the band. Hi Iaira, We have 2 open mic nights. Thursday's at 8pm we host a Comedy Open Mic. That you have to come early and sign up. Most comedians arrive around 7-7:30 to sign up. Clayton is the host, ask for him when your get here. Cait is our manager and works the bar upstairs if you have any issues. Sunday's at 8pm we host another Open Mic. This one is mostly music, however we do get a few comedians from time to time. This is more of an open format. Brandon is the host as well as the bartender. Ask for him and he can get you signed up. But for either night you do not have to register online or anything. You can just come down a little before it starts and sign up.
