No problems recycling copper from my jobs. Scale guy is cool. Lady in the office is rude and acts like the payment for the scrap is coming out of her personal bank account.

Never had a good experience here. What a mess of an operation these guys have going on! Its gotten worse since i had to drop something off two years ago. The lady at the front gate acts like she's guarding some secret military base. So be prepared to deal with her upon arrival. She doesn't even bother to check my residency after giving me a massive attitude. Also, there's no clearly marked signs detailing where to put your items. Employees couldn't be bothered to tell you where to go either. Nobody has an idea what is going here but act you're an idiot for asking simple questions. Can't believe my Leominster tax dollars are paying for this type of incompetence.

They will charge you whatever rates they want whenever they want. The rates stated on the Leominster transfer station is always outdated and their own list of rates vary week to week. They berate you with questions and charge you more if they think you're a contractor. They're extremely rude when you ask any question at all, even if it's just directions to the box. Oh and they don't even let you dump in the landfill if you have trash, you have to toss them into 7 foot tall dumpster. They've been getting worse and worse every year. I once tossed 700 lbs of steel and they gave me $7 when the month before they gave me about $1 per 20 lbs.

Leominster resident: I had to wait until 8:10 to use the dump on a Saturday morning because the computers clock was 10 minutes slow. Is that in the city contract...I wonder ?

Cardboard and paper are free for residents as long as they don't have any other stuff mixed in (plastic bags, Styrofoam, etc. )
