I stopped in for a quick lunch with my friends while visiting Philadelphia. This place is absolutely delicious. The flavors make your tastebuds scream with delight!! I got the Makhani chicken curry. The price for the size is better than most places! The curry was just the way I expected and more. With lots of chicken, I couldn’t have asked for a better lunch. I got the garlic naan as well, perfect for dipping or alone!! The employees gave me mango lassi on the house! So refreshing. Give this place a try!! Either for take out or dine in. It’s definitely a hole in the wall place! So happy I found them.

I came to the restaurant to dine in, Restaurant owner told me to leave because I worked there before and embarrassed for not paying my salary. Said he will not pay and dont want me to come back as customer. Owners name is Hasan. He also did not pay 1 week salary of another employee previously

The food was so awesome. I got the goat vindaloo meduim hot.The staff are friendly and welcoming. Totally loved watching and hearing the Bollywood movie while I waited for my food. Will be going back this weekend.

Restaurant owner Shafi Gaffar (Makhani Modern Indian in Old City) announces the grand opening of Kurry Shack at 2015 E. Moyamensing Avenue this Friday, November 1, 2019. Kurry Shack will take over the former home of The Wild Burrito and Buttercream Cupcake Truck - just feet from the corner of Moyamensing and Snyder Avenue.
