In the 2 years since we've owned a house in the area, we've enjoyed shopping here for the good selections and decent prices. Yesterday's trip turned out a little sour. My wife found a couple of hydrangeas she liked that were marked $19.98 on their individual tags, but the nearby store employee insisted they were $25, pointed to a Hewitt's sign near the cluster of hydrangeas and said he couldn't mark them down. When we pointed out the discrepancy to the cashier, she told us there was nothing she could do, that they would cost the $25 the employee had marked on a slip of paper. When my wife found the assistant manager, he also told her they were $25, regardless of what their individual tags said. This doesn't seem right. When I was in retail and something was incorrectly priced lower than we meant, I was taught to immediately apologize, sell the item for the lower price and see that someone changed the tags or signage to match the price we intended. No apologies, no explanation from Hewitt's. :-(

I've always loved Hewitt's. The selection and prices are always good. I was a bit nervous about social distancing while in such tight spaces, but the Hewitt's has done well reorganizing the layout and all the customers were wearing masks and being courteous. The staff are helpful and used every precaution available, this made me feel very safe. I appreciate that they have curbside service as well. I will continue to use this local Garden center to keep my garden looking beautiful. Thanks Hewitt's.

Tulip bulbs are planted in the Fall and bloom in the spring. We have a pretty good selection every September. We do have pre sprouted tulip bulbs available that you could plant now.

Wear a mask and practice social distancing. You can also call ahead, pay by phone and have them bring it out to you curbside. I went on 5/21 in the early morning and the customers and staff were all following current recommendations.

Depends on the size. 3-4' are $29.99. all 6'-9' are $56.99 and we also have 10-15' if you are interested in a taller tree.
This is usually caused from the soil being too moist. What type of soil do you have? Allow the top 2-3" of soil to dry out between waterings. Then, deeply water again to soak the roots and promote the roots to grow deeper into the soil so that it will be more drought tolerant in the future. Wait again for the top few inches of soil to dry out before doing it again. Thanks have have a great day.
