Lived here 3 years... Pros: very close to transportation..beautiful park.sound proof walls..lived on 3rd floor Maintenance very good and prompt with repair Office staff friendly Cons..4 mice in 3 years ..all sizes and colors Heat ducts are in the ceiling..don't like forced air in my face..makes a rattling sound throughout the night Smell of Marijuana in hallway Heavy rain causes the creek to overfill and it difficult to get into building Rent increase $40+ every year.. After a year there is a month to month..6 month option..beware, read and understand completely before signing..will not allow you to go back to year option until your year lease date has ended There has been thief of packages...it happened to me 1 time

The management staffs are unprofessional and callous. Assistant property manager is rude and treat the future residents as trash. We took an appointment to do lead testing after our application was approved and got a confirmatory mail to be able to bring a lab inspector. We took hours off, called the same day to confirm the appointment, but once we reached there they denied us an access to the property on the pretext of not being communicated. Even after waiting for almost an hour nobody turned in at the complex or at least call back.This makes me Wonder if the building is lead safe as all efforts were made to prevent to do lead testing in the unit. And then why write back giving consent to do the testing.

Peace Within

Nice & peaceful place to live with a 1 min walk to Gladstone station from where you get to center city in 20 mins. Beautiful green surrounding view from the apartment & ample parking. Spacious balcony & washer dryer in unit. Friendly staff. Neighboring Hoffman park & Darby creek waters make the view even better.

I've been very happy with the apartment until recent events took place where major maintenance was needed to my unit. The maintenance process was excruciatingly slow and mentally exhausting. Though the facade of the work done looks ok, other problems and details about the "work and restoration" that was completed is truly sub par. Corners were cut, certain things were over looked and details were ignored. I look forward to moving and I am saddened that I can't walk away with a totally positive perception of my time at Gladstone. I can agree with one other comment I've read, the maintenance is lacking. Especially when a big problem occurs.
