This is a place you can go to over and over again and find something new. There is much to discover; from the intricate detail on each tile to the picture at large in which the tiles join together to form. Whimsey, creativity, and portals to magic at every turn. It may be a "smaller" space physically but take the time to let your imagination wander into the space. It is spectacular and amazing to realize just how much is packed into it.

The Magic Gardens were a nice stop during my visit to Philly. There are lots of walkways that you can take so even if there are lots of people exploring around you, you can find a path to take. I thought it would be bigger but it was a very vibrant and colorful exhibit that I enjoyed. They also had a few places to sit if you wanted to take a break. There was an indoor exhibit as well which gave some history on the artist. They require you buy tickets online and don't allow early entry so I wouldn't recommend coming too early but a few minutes should be alright

It's definitely whimsical and fun - a rabbit warren of mishmash and shiny objects. I guess I thought it would be a bit bigger. It gets a little crowded on weekends when the sun is out and some folks like to camp out in one spot for a full-out photo shoot. I think it would be much more fun when it's less crowded or maybe with kids. Though there are a lot (a LOT) of genitalia, if that's something that bothers you. It's cool to see where the original studio was, and there are indoor spaces with more folk art that is interesting, plus there's a small eclectic gift shop. It takes about 30 minutes for even a comprehensive tour. I think $15 is a bit steep for what it is, but I'd also hate to see it go away.

A truly incredible and awe-inspiring experience. There is so much going on and the more you look, the more you'll find. You could visit the Magic Gardens time after time and still find something new to appreciate about it. This is a great place to go with kids and to help you feel like a kid. You're also right on South Street, so there is plenty to do nearby. Book your time online ahead of time to skip the line.

$10 for adults. Not sure about kids but students are $8 so I imagine around that price.

Yes it is.
This place is not covered by rain, just an entrance hall and one exhibition
There are stairs and narrow passageways. Part of the display is on the first floor. No elevator.
